Read what some of our guests have had to say about their stay with us:

Sam Nash, Australia (Nov 2018)

“A top hostel with a proper hostel vibe.  Came from a different hostel that was lacking in hostel atmosphere and the difference was astronomical.  Thoroughly enjoyed my stay!”

Kirsty Daley, UK (Oct 2018)

“Thank you Electric Cats.  This hostel fills my heart with happiness.  It has the original hostel vibe, quirky and easygoing.  A wonderful ambiance and such helpful staff.  The kittens and cats are an added bonus.  Thank you for such a wonderful stay.”

Maria Tellez, Argentina (Jun 2018)

“Stan, Sumit and Fatima are the best host.  We had to be there for a long time because we were studying and during that whole time they were super helpful with us, always having a smile and the best tips for our stay.  We totally 100% recommend the hostel! Everything works perfectly and is in a very nice area, super clean, brekkie is very nice and they will welcome you and help you with whatever you need.  We will come back for sure!”

Karolina Duzsa, Poland (Mar 2018)

“The past 3 weeks I spent in Bangalore, getting treatment on my injured ankle. It was a challenging time, seeing the doctors, getting physiotherapy, all that far away from home. I was so lucky to become part of Electric Cats B&B family while I was getting treated. They welcomed me with an open heart and gave full support. It was refreshing to see how much attention the staff gave to all the travelers. It’s the atmosphere that makes this place special. It’s one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in and I recommend it to anyone who’s coming to Bangalore!  Thanks again for everything! Xx”

Merita, Croatia (Mar 2018)

“Great spot in Bangalore.  Unexpectedly clean, peaceful, safe and the atmosphere there is such a great escape from the hectic Indian streets.  Literally jazz and blues are playing in the lobby, the staff is friendly and so relaxed, they will help you with anything you need.  The whole hostel is spotless, clean, very ecological.  Beds comfy, washrooms perfect.  The neighbourhood is excellent to stay, takes half hour to the centre (15 min walk to the metro and 7 min by metro)”

Joe Harrington, UK (Feb 2018)

“Really great hostel, great wifi connection (very rare in my Indian travels) , clean bathrooms and dorms with good showers. The two hostels are close together and share the social life so you don’t need to worry about being placed in one or the other. The staff, especially Stan the owner, are fun, easygoing, really helpful, and create a great vibe in the place even when there are few other travelers around to meet. They organize regular nights out but if you’re not feeling it you can take yourself away and just chill in the common areas which are surprisingly quiet. Breakfast is really good (they can actually poach eggs, another rarity in India) and is included in the price which makes the overall cost very reasonable. The location is great, lots of good cheap street food and restaurants on the road and it’s a 15 minute walk to the main bars and pubs in Indiranagar. I never write reviews but I had such a nice time here I felt compelled to.”

Amy C, Australia (Sep 2017)

“The staff are everything!  The guys here are amazing at running this hostel. They’re so helpful no matter what questions you ask them and will go above and beyond to ensure your stay in Bangalore is amazing. This has been the most hospitable and helpful hostel we have stayed in throughout India (after 3 months of traveling around). Rooms and bathrooms are clean, wifi is excellent, the included breakfast is very good and the location is good as well. I would highly recommend this hostel. Thanks for an awesome stay!!”

Prit M, India (Jan 2017)

“You can have the best Saturday night on the terrace of this hostel. I won’t mind flying from another country just to spend the weekend in this hostel”

Goda Kacileviciute, UK (Sep 2016)

“So I leave electric cats today, and it’s actually emotional. This place made me feel like home and it’s been the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. 5 stars all the way!”

Seamus, Ireland (Sep 2016)

“Positive Positive Lemon Positive!  Had a great stay in Electric Cats. Ideal hostel for solo travellers and groups/couples alike. Planned to stay 2 days and ended up staying 5! The manager Stan and all the staff while being very friendly and a good source of advice on good places”

Hans, South Korea (Sep 2016)

“Went for 2, stayed for 5 nights.  What more can I say!  My favourite place so far in India. The service, amenities, and free breakfast are excellent. But the really true great thing about this hostel is the atmosphere. Met so many people and found it hard to leave the hostel even during the day. Stan and co encourage people to get together in evening and join the group on room. Fosters a great atmosphere!  Even showed us around the city – brought us to markets, restaurants, and clubs. Best time in India so far all thanks to them!  Would go back in a heartbeat!”

Milos, Serbia (May 2016)

“Well, only thing I could say about Electric Cats is that I don’t “stay” here anymore, I live here! I’m here for more than a month, and I planned to stay just for one week. Good internet, amazing people and great position of hostel make this place really good for everyone!”

Harry Thorne, UK (Feb 2016)

“This is without doubt the best hostel in India!!!”

Gubby, Australia (Jan 2016)

“I originally booked for 2 nights stay at Electric Cats Annexe but ended up staying 10 days because I loved it so much. The staff are so friendly and they know the area extremely well. They are always planning something fun to do and to bring all the guests together. This was the best hostel of my two month trip in India. I recommend it to everyone traveling to Bangalore. You will definitely have an amazing time.”

Vincent, UK (Jul 2015)

“The Best Hostel in India!  I don’t even know where to begin. I stayed at Electric Cats three times in total, inbetween seeing different parts of South India, and when I left I genuinely felt like I was leaving home again. Stan and Sneha make you feel at home (with Micah and Chloe the two cats of course) and I felt like family. I was probably there about a week altogether and I did so much with the two of them, they’re absolute rock stars and there’s always something going on. There’s only 10 beds including the female dorm so remember to book ahead but I never saw Stan turn anyone away and they always made room for people if they needed it. Dreamcatcher is a brilliant food joint and the guys love their grub as much as I did. It’s so sad leaving you guys, but I’ll be back at some point I’m sure.”

Nicola Jones, UK (Mar 2015)

“Can’t fault it, delicious breakfasts with great coffee, absolutely wonderful hosts”

Sandra Jauregui, Mexico (Mar 2015)

“Si van a Bangalore les recomiendo este hostal, el dueño Stan, es súper amigable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Esta limpio y es seguro, el desayuno esta incluido y es delicioso! 🙂 excelente lugar para conocer nuevos amigos! Ademas esta localizado en una zona muy buena (muy cerca de 100 feet road) donde encuentras bares, restaurantes y tiendas q visitar.”
